Summer Reading: Fizz, Boom, Read...WOW!

Thank You to Everyone Who Helped Make This Year's Program Our Biggest One, Yet!

Summer 2014 Alternate Logo

This year's science-themed program featured 4 musical performances, 3 science shows, 2 movie nights, and 1 visit each from IPT favorite Dan Wardell AND best-selling author and performer Eric Litwin!

The 1,465 kids who signed up for summer reading logged over 6,300 library visits; made more than 2,800 crafts; and earned over 1,800 free books!

Attendance at special events was amazing.  Dan Wardell's visit on June 25th set a new one-day record when over 500 people came to the two sessions, only to have Eric Litwin exceed that mark the very next day!

Congratulations to our prize winners:

Babies: Hadley H.; Bria H.

Bricks & Books Baskets: Cooper H.; Jacie W.; Jenna H.

Lego Basket Grand Prize: Levi N.

Books, Books, Books! Basket: Natalie S.

Thank you, again, to everyone who made this year's Summer Reading Program a huge hit, particularly the CFPL Friends of the Library organization, for providing funds for crafts and prizes!
