IMPORTANT NOTICE: For the last few years, we've been part of the NEIBORS consortium while we grew the size of our own consortium, Waterloo-Cedar Falls Overdrive. We now feel our collection is robust enough that we prefer to put all of our financial support into growing Waterloo-Cedar Falls Overdrive even more. For this reason, on July 1, 2013, we will no longer offer NEIBORS, but Waterloo-Cedar Falls Overdrive will continue to grow and provide eBooks and eAudiobooks for you. The library offers downloadable eBooks and audiobooks through NEIBORS and our new Overdrive service in conjunction with the Waterloo Public Library.  Both collections are through Overdrive so checkout, and download procedures are the same.  Cedar Falls or rural Black Hawk County residents may check out books in NEIBORS using their Cedar Falls library card. Anyone with a Cedar Falls library card may check out books in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo service.

If you are experiencing problems with the NEIBORS or the Cedar Falls/Waterloo OverDrive Web sites try a different browser. Internet explorer 8 is not compatible with these Web sites.

After installing some free software, patrons can download eBooks and audio books to their home computer and transfer them to any number of compatible devices.  If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or supported android device, you can download the Overdrive Media Console app that allows you to download audiobooks and ebooks directly to your device.  An OverDrive Media Console App is now available for the NOOK HD, NOOK HD+, NOOK Tablet™ and NOOK Color. Change to NEIBORS service
As of August 1, 2012 only residents of Cedar Falls or rural Black Hawk County will be able to access NEIBORS using a Cedar Falls Public Library card. If you live in another city in Iowa, you will need to check with your hometown library and see if they offer e-books/audiobooks through NEIBORS. This does not affect our Cedar Falls/Waterloo e-book/audiobook service. Please call 319-273-8643 if you have questions about this change.
