Book Discussion Groups

These book discussion groups are open to anyone.  Feel free to drop by a discussion.  You are welcome to come and listen to the discussion even if you have not read the book.  

 

Below are the 2016-2017 book lists for both the morning and evening discussion groups.

Morning Book Discussion Group
 

National Parks Go Set a Watchman Chasing the Scream The Road to Little Dribbling The Beekeeper's Apprentice How to Be Both The Round House Citizens of London

Meetings are usually held at 10:15 a.m. on the last Tuesday of the month.

August 30, 2016
--Pick a title from a pre-selected list of books related to the National Parks.  There are 14 books in the selection from nonfiction to fiction titles.

September 27, 2016--To Kill a Mockingbird and/or Go Set a Watchman - Harper Lee

October 25, 2016--Chasing the Scream:  The First and Last Days of the War on Drugs -Johann Hari  

November 15, 2016 (third week)--Notes from a Small Island and/or The Road to Little Dribbling - Bill Bryson

December 20, 2016 (third week)--The Beekeeper's Apprentice - Laurie R. King

January 31, 2017
--How to be Both:  A Novel - Ali Smith 

February 28, 2017--The Round House - Louise Erdrich

March 28, 2017--Citizens of London - Lynne Olson

April 25, 2017--Select books for 2017-2018

 

 


 

Evening Book Discussion Group
