The CFPL November Noir Series presents a feature-length showing of Force of Evil (1949).  With commentary by Dr. Grant Tracey, Professor of Film Studies, Creative Writing and Popular Culture @ The University of Northern Iowa.

A lawyer, working for a powerful gangster who wants to take over the numbers racket in New York, must come to grips with the fact that his brother, who owns a smaller numbers racket, may not get a fair shake.

Join us in the Large Meeting Room for a night of Noir along with donuts, hot chocolate and coffee.  This program was made possible by The Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library and is free to the public.  For more information call (319) 268-5543.
