For tweens. Limit of 35 participants. Explore The Buildings of Bugs with the Iowa State University Insect Zoo!  We will tour the architecture of ants, termites, bees, wasps and spiders! How do such tiny animals build these incredible structures? Why are they constructed the way they are? What are they used for? We will answer these questions during this 90-minute program. Participants will observe molds of 2 ant colonies, a bald-faced hornets' nest, a paper wasps' nest, a wild honey bee nest, and spider webs. We will also have a small display of live animals and we will talk about where they live in nature.  Near the end of the program, participants will be invited to touch some of the animals on display.

Registration required.  Click here to register online or call 319-859-3282.
