10 Year Anniversary Celebration
The Cedar Falls Public Library will be celebrating its 10th year in the Adele Whitenack Davis building this March and would like to invite you to join in the festivities! Please join us Friday, March 28th at 6:30 p.m. for a free Family Carnival complete with games, prizes, and balloons galore! There will even be a Dance Party so come dressed in your best partywear- tutus and sparkles are highly recommended! Also, join us that same night for an adult-only Wine & Dessert Reception upstairs in our large meeting room where we will be discussing the library's past, our current endeavors, and future visions we have for the years to come! The reception will last from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Special guest Carol French Johnson, former library director, will be present. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling 319-268-5543. Come join us for both events and help us celebrate the past 10 years!
Have you ever noticed the terra cotta books that decorate the outside walls of the library? Well, in celebration of the library's first 10 years we are putting the remaining titles up for adoption once more! Smaller books can be adopted for $900-2,999, while larger books will ring in at $3,000-9,999. Pledge forms will be available throughout the month as well as at the 10-Year Anniversary Celebration on March 28th. All donations collected will go into the Cedar Falls Public Library Building Foundation and will be used for Art in the Atrium, and future projects here at the library!
