During the last week in April, all Cedar Valley fifth grade students will be invited to workshops at the Cedar Falls Public Library and the Waterloo Public Library with author-in-residence Delia Ray. This program, founded several years ago, instills enthusiasm for reading, writing, and discussion in our local youth.  As part of the program, Cedar Valley's Youth Read open presentation by Delia Ray, author of Here Lies Linc will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Waterloo Public Library. Free and open to the public, adults and youth are all invited.  A book signing will follow Ms. Ray's talk. Books for purchase will be available for signing. CVYR 2014 is sponsored by the Cedar Falls Civic Foundation’s Kathryn Ray Fund for use by the Library. Sponsorship in previous years has also included the Max & Helen Guernsey Foundation.
