Library Mystery #5—The Case of the Countryside Killer
Join us @ 5:30 on February 22 in the large meeting room for our fifth semi-annual Library Murder Mystery. Indulge yourself in hors d’oeuvres and drinks @ 5:30; then as night falls on the Cedar Valley, make your way to the large meeting room for a knock-off of a Sherlock Holmes knock-off, “The Case of the Countryside Killer”, performed by Theatre UNI’s Theta Alpha Phi/Alpha Psi Omega and the UNI Student Theatre Association.
Find yourself in the ancestral home of Lord Nigel Bridgewater who has occupied the house since the reign of Elizabeth. But, alas, the house has seen better days. This historic hall, once a gathering place for the crowned heads of Europe, may actually be up for sale! Bridgewater’s nephew, Cecil, would certainly be upset at the loss of his birthright. There’s no telling what he might do!
Audience members will help the characters solve the mystery and can enter a grand prize drawing for a Main Street shopping spree. Who knows what Bridgewater’s ancestors would have to say about that, but that, of course, is just silly speculation. For now, sit back, enjoy Bridgewater’s hospitality, and let yourself be taken away by the “spirit” of the evening. This program is free to the public and was made possible by a grant from the Kathryn Ray Fund and Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library. For more information call (319) 273-8643.
